Performance food is an understatement when talking about salmon. It fuels just about everything: brain, blood, bones, ears (hearing), eyes, hair, heart, lungs, mouth/teeth, muscles, nails, nerves, nose (sense of smell), skin. One reason is that this fish is filled with good fats. Challenge: avoid farmed raised salmon because of their use of antibiotics, dyes and other unwanted chemicals. Only buy wild Atlantic and Pacific salmon. To save money, cook and mix small pieces in casseroles or stir-fries. Also, delicious frozen wild salmon patties are sold at warehouse stores such as Costco. Enjoy them!
