A simple smoothie that's packed with protein - great for breakfast or a snack!

1 frozen bananaPlace your fresh banana in the freezer for at least a couple of hours, peel and all. The peel will turn black, but it does not affect the taste or quality of the banana.
2 Tbsp Almond Butter (Suggested brand: Artisana)
6 oz vanilla Greek yogurt, organic if possible
1/4-1/2 cup skim or low fat milk, organic if possibleCombine all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth. Add a little extra milk if you like a thinner smoothie. Ready to serve.
Add a handful of ice if you'd like. If it is not sweet enough for your taste buds, add 1 tsp of raw honey. Try adding a dash of cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice. For increased fiber content add ground flax seeds or 2-3 Tbsp rolled oats! Substitute unsweetened rice or almond milk for cow's milk if you wish.
