Identifying healthier foods that your family deserves,
and your kids will love!
It doesn’t get much easier than this! Keep salsa and black beans stored in your cupboard so you can throw this together in minutes! Perfect for game day parites or surprise guests. For a dip, a 5/5 Performance rating is superb. Salsa is a great way to get nutrient-dense fruit, vegetables, herbs and spices into your children’s diet. Low calorie, too. When you add protein and fiber from the black beans, you have a well balanced recipe. Serve it with veggies, whole grain crackers,or healthier chips - check our grocery list for brands.
This recipe was taste tested and Kid Kritics Approved at HealthBarn USA which was founded by one of the Family Food Experts, Stacey Antine, MS, RD! This dip and 2 other recipes were taste tested on the same day (Veggie Stix Nachos and Four Amigas Making Salsa). They were such a hit that parents asked for the recipes so they could make them at home! We hope you like them too.
