This standard salad can be customized for your kids. Please use as many God-made colored foods as possible!
Salad bowl, cutting board, grater
About 7 minutes
3-5, depending on ages
3 cups romaine lettuce, washed, torn into bite-sized pieces
1 cup tomatoes, vine-ripened, washed, sliced
1 carrot, washed, peeled, grated
Combine in salad bowl.1 cup croutons, whole-grain
1 Tbsp sesame seeds, raw
Gently toss into salad. Drizzle dressing of choice on top. Serve.
Add diced raw bell peppers, red cabbage, celery, broccoli florets, yellow squash, mushrooms, almond slivers, apples, tangerine wedges, mandarin oranges, or sunflower seeds.
