1/3 cup sunflower seeds (no MSG or additives!)
1/3 cup sliced almonds raw or toasted
Mix all ingredients in bowl and set aside.1/3 cup natural or homemade peanut butter (organic if possible)
Warm peanut butter on stovetop to make it smooth and easier to mix.1/3 cup honey
1 tsp vanilla extract
Add to peanut butter and mix well. Pour over dry ingredients and mix until everything is evenly coated.Cooking spray or coconut oil
Lightly coat baking dish with oil. Press mixture firmly into baking dish and bake for 12-15 minutes, just until lightly golden on edges. Let cool before cutting into squares and serving.
These are very versatile. Replace sunflower seeds with pumpkin seeds or your favorite nut/seed. They would also be delicious with citrus zest. Try adding dark chocolate or carob chips, dried fruit, chia, or ground flaxseeds. If you have a bottle of Greens+ Wild Berry Burst rather than the stick packs, use 2 scoops or 2 Tbs. Skip the baking to preserve raw nutrients and enzymes from Greens+ Wild Berry Burst. If you do not bake them, be sure to store in the refrigerator (they may not be as portable, but you will get a nutritious boost!)
