Large saucepan, mixing bowl, 9x13 pan
15 minutes
8 to 10 people depending on ages
1/2 cup Fair Trade Honey (by Wholesome Sweeteners)
1/2 cup peanut butter (such as Once Again or Joseph's Lite)
Heat honey in large saucepan to low boil. Remove from heat. Stir in peanut butter until melted.6 cups O-shaped oat cereal, plain or honey sweetened (organic if possible)
1/4 cup raisins (organic if possible)
1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Add the cereal, raisins and chocolate chips to the mixture and blend thoroughly. Press into lightly greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Allow it to cool before cutting into squares.
Use Cinnamon Flavored Agave Syrup instead of honey (by Wholeseome Sweeteners). Replace some of the cereal with nuts or seeds. Use any dried fruit instead of raisins. Leave out the chocolate chips if you'd like. Replace peanut butter with your family's favorite nut or seed butter.
