Medium sized saucepan

1/2 cup butter, organic if possible
3/4 cup honey
1 tsp sea salt
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1/8 tsp baking soda
2 tsp vanilla extract
In medium saucepan, mix together first 6 ingredients and bring to a boil. Boil for 1 minute while stirring. Then remove from heat.1/2 cup Lightly Roasted Almond Butter, Organic by Artisana
3 1/2 cups quick or rolled oats
Add almond butter and stir to melt. Then add in oats and stir to combine. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheets lined with wax paper or parchment. Chill until firm. Store in refrigerator in closed container.
Use different nut butters for different flavors. Add dried fruits, chopped nuts, coconut, or dark chocolate chips. Add cinnamon. This recipe can easily be made gluten-free by using gluten-free brands of baking soda, vanilla extract, and oats.
