Oven to 250 degrees F
Cookie sheet, mixing bowl
5 minutes
about 2 hours
6-8 or more depending on ages
1/2 cup sesame seeds, raw
1/2 cup sunflower seeds, raw
1/2 cup pumpkin seeds, raw
1/2 cup almonds, raw, slivered
1/2 cup peanuts, raw
1/2 cup tamari sauce (low sodium) or Bragg's Aminos
Stir together, spread evenly across cookie sheet. Place in oven and bake slowly until nuts and seeds are crispy golden. Slow baking is good in this case. It may take a few hours and it is worth it. Stir occasionally. Serve. Make this in large quantities for weekly snacks. Keep refrigerated.
For a spicier taste, add a pinch of cumin and cayenne before baking.
