Chili is not just delicious, it's a great source of protein, fiber, and B vitamins. Plus vitamin C and lycopene from bell peppers and tomatoes. The herbs and spices provide additional antioxidant benefits. It's simple to make, warm, and very filling - perfect for a school night dinner on a cool evening! Also a great game day or Super Bowl recipe!

Top with shredded "cheeze"
Replace tomato sauce with diced tomatoes. Add more chili powder to your taste. Use sea salt rather than seasoned salt. Add 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper or chipotle chili powder for a bit of spice. Top with shredded shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, or plain Greek yogurt if you'd like. Serve with guacamole and tortilla chips or corn muffins. Or try it with another Kid Kritics Approved recipe, Cornbread Whoopie Pies! If you prefer to cook it on the stovetop, saute turkey and onion first then add remaining ingredients and simmer 40 minutes to 1 hour (you may need to add a bit of water for this cooking method).
