Cutting board, knife, mixing bowl
5-10 minutes
2 or more, depending on ages
1 (6-ounce) can tongol tuna in spring water, drained, mashed into little pieces
1/4 cup mayonnaise, organic or Vegenaise
Mix together thoroughly.1 Tbs onions, finely chopped
1 Tbs celery, washed, finely chopped (organic, if possible)
1 Tbs sesame seeds, raw
Dash of seasoned salt
1/4 tsp parsley, dried
1/8 tsp paprika
Add to tuna mixture and mix well. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.4 slices bread, whole grain or gluten-free
1 Tbs mayonnaise, organic or Vegenaise
Spread mayo on one side of each slice of bread. Spread tuna mixture over mayonnaise. Top with second slice of bread. Cut into quarters. Serve.
Stir in 1/4 cup shredded white cheese or cheese alternative. Add lettuce, tomato, or spinach leaves to sandwich. Replace bread with tortillas, pita bread, or crackers. Use tuna salad as a dip for sliced veggies.
