1 box Classic Mac & Cheese or Shells & White Cheddar, by Annie's HomegrownIn saucepan, cook pasta in boiling water until just al dente.
Milk, low fat (organic if possible)Prepare cheese sauce according to package directions. Mix with pasta.
1 can dark tuna packed in water, drained (Tongol or Skipjack if possible)
3/4 cup frozen peasMix tuna and peas with pasta. Place the mixture in a buttered 2-quart baking dish.
1 1/2 cups crushed Whole Grain Cheese Curls, White Cheddar Cheese by EatSmart NaturalsPlace the Cheese Curls in a sealed plastic bag and using a rolling pin crush them to a coarse mixture. Top the pasta mixture with crushed Cheese Curls. Bake at 350° for 20-25 minutes. Serve warm!
You may substitute 3/4 to 1 cup chopped cooked chicken or turkey for the tuna. Try frozen mixed vegetables instead of peas. Add paprika and parsley for added nutrients and color!
