Jaime's Kitchen Tips

NUTS & SEEDS are a good source of protein, fiber and healthy fats. They can easily be added to oatmeal, yogurt, salads, baked goods, casseroles and other foods. They also can be eaten raw or roasted with a little tamari sauce. Always store opened nuts and seeds in a closed container in the refrigerator or freezer to keep the fats from turning rancid. FYI: Nuts in the shell served with a nut cracker are fun for kids to eat and work on their skills!
